PU

PU refers to Polyurethane; a thermoplastic polymer. Used initially as an artificial leather material it has expanded into a multitude of colours and textures and gives really striking effects especially if it is thermo reactive which gives a striking colour change (usually darkening) when debossed. Strong, lightweight and easy to work with makes this a very popular material for notebooks and journals. It can be produced in Pantone colours (if the order is of a certain size or above). As it’s 100% man made it is classed as a vegan material.
