Sections or pages of a book are glued together along the spine. Popular with magazines and periodicals. The pages are collected and the edge to be bound is usually compressed and glued. Magazines like Vogue use this method of biding. This is a fast and cost effective method of biding; but its limitation is that the book/magazine doesn’t lay perfectly flat when opened. It tends to arch in the middle.
