The Brief:
CT, an accountancy and advisory firm, approached us to help promote its rebrand. They were looking for custom eco-friendly notebooks that would showcase its new identity and dedication to sustainability, and make a memorable impression on both staff and clients.
The notebooks needed to serve as high-quality symbols of its new brand. CT: aims to break the mould of traditional accountancy firms’ image by embracing a modern way of working and aesthetic.
This means they were looking to avoid classic-looking corporate stationery and wanted something fresh and contemporary to encourage note-taking, idea generation, and creative brainstorming away from digital devices.
The Solution:
The notebook product choice itself was an easy decision. CT selected the eco-friendly, UK-manufactured Filt-r notebooks to emphasise their commitment to sustainability. These recycled notebooks are produced from coffee cup production waste and recycled consumer materials, and they can be fully recycled themselves again at the end of their life.
What sealed the deal was that the Filt-r notebook came in a range of colours representative of their brand palette. The chosen colours—’Dusk Pink’, ‘Vanilla’, ‘Breeze Blue’, ‘Oceana Blue’, and ‘Basalt Black’—give the stationery a modern, fresh feel.
With a repeating dot pattern (an extension of the colon after their name) being the main design feature, a deboss (indentation) of this across the entire front cover was the perfect way to add a tactile element to the products, to give them a greater sensory impact when handled.
To make the ‘CT’ logo stand out from the sea of dots, it was printed in white (using a foil print). A custom bellyband, displaying their motto “We work with numbers. But for people” and repeating the colon pattern on the reverse, adding another layer for recipients to interact with when given a notebook.
The Verdict on the custom eco-friendly notebooks:
The rebrand notebooks were a huge hit. Internally, CT’s staff appreciated the modern, tactile design, which stood out from more traditional corporate stationery. Externally, the notebooks made a significant impact as corporate giveaways, with clients often requesting one after seeing them during meetings.
